I recently became acquainted with Lead at Any Level and had the pleasure of meeting Amy Waninger. While her leadership for D&I initiatives already intrigued me, her passion for getting out her message, making a difference and her dedication to the work was impressive. I’m excited to have connected with her and I’m sure we’ll all be hearing more and more about her work in the years to come.

Amy presented just the right mix of instruction and interactivity to be sure that audience members understood the importance of a diverse workforce and had identified weaknesses our own networks. The assessment tool she introduced in the “Our Brains Are Biased: How to Break Out, Break In, and Break Through” webinar showed me the weaknesses in my own professional network (without making me feel exposed) and highlighted areas for improvement. She created an atmosphere of safety during the session which allowed us to ask potentially-sensitive questions knowing that her response would be professional and kind. This is an especially important session for new professionals to help them build their networks with intention and for those with well-established networks who may not yet realize the bias that they may be unconsciously supporting.

I participated in one of Amy’s Unconscious Bias Webinars and learned a ton. She has a great way to bring down the concepts to make them easy to understand and fun so you’re bound to remember them. I still think about round heads vs square heads all the time, it really stuck with me! Excellent webinar. I learned a ton and highly recommend it!

Your work is unique. Beyond stating the theories regarding “isms,” you’re doing something about the diversity problem in business. I’ve read your words. I’ve heard your public voice. I’m excited. Keep pushing. It’s what the world needs.

Hi Amy, I just finished watching and listening to the recording of a CPCU Society webinar that I originally missed. I almost did not go back to it because I have been so busy, but I am so glad that I did! You did an excellent job presenting this topic. I believe that many people are turned off by topics about diversity and inclusion. They somehow feel offended or uncomfortable by them. I have seen, heard and participated in many diversity presentations over the past 15 years and this was honestly one of the best. It was a very interesting way to try to approach the topic. Not only did you do a great job conveying the information, but you were also quite inspiring and an excellent speaker. All the best to you, Amy, with your company and your career.

The content was relevant.

Amy was phenomenal! Her program resonated with our attendees and she knocked it out of the park. We loved that she participated in the conference as well before and after her speech. Not a lot of keynote speakers do that.

Amy is articulate, organized, conversational, relatable, funny, and good a pausing and asking for questions throughout the call. Content was delivered as expected, in an organized/logical manner with relatable examples along the way. Amy is always a pleasure to speak to and work with!

Amy C. Waninger’s “Lead at any Level” presentation on bias was a refreshing and useful presentation that offered many tools I will now use to expand the diversity and impact of my network. As a career advisor who works largely with a non-traditional student population, it can be a challenge to express the value and importance of actively networking within our technology age. This presentation offered tools like the CHAMP/IGGNORE model and language that I will rely upon to express that value to my clients, and help them as they grow professionally and personally.
