Company News (Q1 2023) [530 words]

Today, we’re offering a peek behind the curtain, into some of the great things happening within Lead at Any Level®. We have a lot to celebrate!

Celebrating Five Years in Business

Last December, we celebrated our five-year anniversary as a company. Only about half of small businesses live to see this milestone, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited about where we’re headed!

Welcome, Olivia Scales!

Olivia Scales recently joined the team as our Spring 2023 Intern. Olivia is a recent graduate of Ball State University, where she majored in Legal Studies with minor concentrations in Political Science and German. She’s completed a prior internship at Vanderburgh County CASA and is currently also serving as a Government Relations Intern at United Way of Central Indiana. During her internship with Lead at Any Level, she’ll be helping with internal initiatives and possibly providing some Indiana legislative updates for our blog.

True Global Reach

Did you know that Lead at Any Level’s reach extends to every continent on the globe? It’s true! I’ll admit that while we started with coast-to-coast U.S. engagements (literally) in 2018, I didn’t expect we’d have an international footprint quite this quickly. But in our case, the pandemic helped us reach beyond U.S. borders with virtual events.

During 2020 and 2021, we worked with clients in Ireland and Sweden and spoke to international audiences that spanned North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Last year, we served clients in Australia and Antarctica! And this March, we’ll be making our debut in Africa as part of the Africa HR Forum’s 2023 Author Series. We are thrilled that our message has traveled the globe, even while we have been (mostly) working from home. Inclusive leaders truly can be anywhere and should be everywhere…in the world!

Third-party Certifications

You probably know that Lead at Any Level is certified as a diverse supplier. But did you know that we recently became accredited with the Better Business Bureau? We are proud to add this recognition to our list of designations:

  • Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) since 2018
  • Certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) since 2019
  • Certified LGBTQ Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) since 2018
  • INDOT-certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) since 2019
  • INDOT-certified Airport Concession DBE since 2019
  • BBB Accredited since 2023

Supplier Diversity Initiative

Not only are we a certified diverse supplier, but we’ve also launched our own supplier diversity initiative. We’ve set goals for our vendor relationships, have begun tracking our vendors’ eligibility and certification status, and will continue to expand this program as capacity allows. Many thanks to Vanessa Pennoyer at Go2Girl for her help in bringing this idea to fruition.

Thank You!

We don’t share company news very often, because, frankly, we’re not sure if anyone cares. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning, or recently discovered us, we appreciate your encouragement of, engagement with, and enthusiasm for our work. We hope you’ll consider us when you are looking for assessment, advisory, or training services to help you keep your employees—and keep them engaged—by advancing inclusion in your workplace. As always, we would love to meet with you to see if we’re a good mutual fit.
